 | Attendance and Cath Lab Jobs | | | | Whether you’ve been working for twenty years at a cath lab job, or this is your first cath lab assignment, it’s important to remember that you’re the new kid on the block. Working travel positions is rewarding, but with every new experience there is always a learning curve to overcome. While Clinical One works behind the scenes, paying the rent on a one-bedroom apartment, helping you with licensing issues, and ensuring you’re getting your paid health benefits and regular salary, you can concentrate on getting acclimated to your new position and facility.
After accepting your travel cath lab job, it’s important to remain committed to that position. Unless it’s an absolute emergency, avoid missing time or calling in sick. The reason you were hired was to fill a shortage, and when you miss work it leaves the hospital in a bind and short staffed. Missing time, not being available for certain shifts, and calling in sick is always discouraged, and when you do feel it’s necessary please contact your recruiter or Clinical One’s 24-hour emergency line immediately. Doing so increases the odds of being asked back, and ups the chances of pulling in a few more good references for the resume. | | | | | | | Save Tip | Email Tip | | | | | Tip Rating |

 | Getting Paid for Referring Friends to Clinical One | | | | If you’re a cath lab nurse, chances are you have a friend or relative who also works within the healthcare field. Whether you currently work with Clinical One or not, you can start referring friends today and earn referral bonuses. Whatever your reason for referring a friend to Clinical One, the process is simple and there’s no limit to the number of friends you refer. As long as that person has never worked for Clinical One before and your friend puts your name in the "referred by" section of the travel or per diem application, you’ll be compensated. As long as the person you referred successfully completes their assignment, you’ll be compensated the going referral rate which is $250 for any travel, contract or permanent position, and $100 for the completion of a 40-hour per diem shift.
Even if you and your friend aren’t looking specifically for cath lab employment, there’s a chance you could wind up working together in the same hospital, at the same time. All it takes is a little effort and coordination between you, your referred friend, and your Clinical One healthcare recruitment specialist. Of course, working side-by-side might not always be feasible. Even if you’re not working in the same hospital or organization, it still might be possible to share an apartment with your friend while working for two different facilities. | | | | | | | Save Tip | Email Tip | | | | | Tip Rating |
